Oceana Therapeutics’ is a privately held specialty pharmaceutical company devoted to developing medicines, and assuring access to them, that allow patients to live longer, healthier, and more productive lives. Oceana envisions a number of ways which can improve the dosing of drugs currently available, possibly improving efficacy, or safety or patient ease of use  and therefore optimizing the outcomes of treatment.

Investing in Oceana are three of the most active health care venture investors in the United States: New Enterprise Associates (NEA), Domain Associates and Quaker BioVentures. Together with its venture investor companies, Oceana is seeking to grow its business by actively looking for innovative pharmaceuticals and is currently in advanced negotiations to obtain drugs in physician specialties such as pediatric endocrinology, urology, gastroenterology, endocrinology, cardiology and acute care therapeutic areas. Target opportunities include products which are already approved and/or currently marketed as well as late stage drugs, therapies and devices which can be sold through a focused sales and distribution channel.
