Richard J. Caulfield

Richard Caulfield has held numerous senior sales management positions during his career and was responsible for the establishment and implementation of field sales operations at Valera and Roberts Pharmaceuticals. Mr. Caulfield joined Valera Pharmaceuticals in 2000 where he was responsible for establishing Valera’s field sales organization in preparation for the launch of Vantas, a one-year implantable treatment for advanced prostate cancer. Valera was acquired by Indevus Pharmaceuticals in 2007. Prior to Valera, Richard established the field sales organization at Roberts Pharmaceuticals which included prescription and over-the-counter product sales operations. Roberts was a specialty pharmaceutical company with a variety of products which crossed numerous specialty care areas. The Roberts’ sales organization grew to more than 100 field representatives prior to its acquisition by Shire plc at year-end 1999. Before joining Roberts, Richard held numerous sales and sales management positions at Bristol-Myers Squibb, including assignments in both the US and International Divisions of BMS. He began his sales career at ICI Pharmaceuticals.
Mr. Caulfield received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Cincinnati and a Master’s degree from Wright State University in Ohio.
