John Early
Managing Director

John Early joined Oceana Therapeutics Ltd (Dublin) in 2009 and is responsible for EU Direct and Rest of World distributor markets. He has 23 years experience in the medical device industry, serving in a number of international senior management positions. Through the 1980’s John held sales and marketing management roles with Irish distributors and established strategic business units in the areas of in-vitro and in-vivo isotopes, radiopharmaceuticals, radiological/nuclear imaging and x-ray protection technology. In 1990, he joined US Surgical Corporation, establishing the Auto Suture business in Ireland and Iceland, where he fueled market dominance. After the acquisition of US Surgical by Covidien (formerly Tyco Healthcare), John was appointed General Manager with responsibility for Tyco Healthcare technology in Ireland. Following a successful restructuring of this operation, he was appointed Senior Director, International Business for Tyco Healthcare’s Spine and Neuro division, responsible for establishing and managing this business unit in global markets outside the USA through subsidiary and distributor platforms.

John holds a BSc degree in life sciences and has various accredited diplomas and certificates from the Irish management institute.
